Fletcher Day represent father in important Judicial secrecy case
Karim Assaad, a Partner within Fletcher Day Family Law team is representing a father in a widely-publicised case involving judicial secrecy and access to justice.
The case centres around the degree to which hearings should be held in private and the duty of judges to be transparent in their findings.
The case was reported in the Daily Mail and can be read by following the link below.
Karim Assaad said: “Transparency in the family courts is as much about freedom as it is about accountability. Fathers who find themselves in this position should not be afraid to knock on the door of justice and expect it to be answered. We now live in a world where the powerof judges to make life-changing decisions about our families demands fairness and anxious scrutiny.”
